SIZL Gallery to Host Southern Village Artist Reception

SIZL Gallery in Southern Village will host an artist reception Friday, July 13, 6-9 pm, featuring the work of Jason Cardenas. This event will be part of the 2nd Friday Art Walk. SIZL Gallery is located on the first floor of the 410 Market Street building, and owner Karen Shelton's works are on display in the 410 lobby. HOA Board Meeting Agendas (2007-07-18)

The Southern Village Home Owners Association (SVHOA) Board of Directors are meeting on Wednesday, July 18th at 7pm in the library of Christ Church. This meeting is open to members of the SVHOA and/or SVMA, and the first half hour of the meeting is available for open comments. Southern Village Youth Council

The Southern Village Youth Council a new service opportunity for teens in this area. The Youth Council is made up of students grades 9-12 living in southern Chapel Hill. The Southern Village Youth Council meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 9:30 am at Southern Village Books & Maps. During the meetings members organize events from which our community will benefit. The Southern Village Youth Council is a great way to earn service hours and it looks great on a college application. Town of Chapel Hill Considering More Stop Signs in Southern Village

The Town of Chapel Hill has agreed to consider installing additional stop signs at two Southern Village intersections. These intersections are Highgrove & Brookgreen and Highgrove & Hillspring. Both intersections would be converted to 3-way stops. Additionally, painted crosswalks would be added to ensure that pedestrians could safely cross the aforementioned streets.
