The SVHOA has published some tips on how to be a good Southern Village neighbor. While this brochure does not replace the legal obligations we all undertake when buying a home here, it does put them in context and make them more accessible to everyone. We hope you agree that it also reflects the spirit that makes our community so wonderful.
The Lumina has made available its latest outdoor movie schedule.
On Saturday, August 23rd from 12pm-3pm Chapel Hill Children’s Clinic will be having an “unveiling” of their new Aquarium foyer. They have commissioned a local artist to make a wonderful 3-dimensional art piece for the foyer of our building and we are planning a large party in our parking lot to celebrate local artists and to have a great time available for children before they go back to school on the 25th. They are planning games, a large bouncy castle, etc.
Please help us respect our greenways, specifically by picking up after yourselves and/ or your dogs. Recently, the amount of trash has increased significantly all along the walking path throughout Southern Village. If you and/ or your dog make a mess, please clean it up.
June financials are now available.
As a reminder, the next SVHOA Board of Directors Meeting is on Wednesday, July 16th. The meeting is at 7pm at Christ Church. This meeting, as well as all SVHOA meetings, is open to the public. Please consider coming to some or all of the meeting.
A food drive to assist the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina is underway. Most Needed Items: Canned Meals (stews, soups, tuna, ravioli, etc.); Peanut Butter; Cereal; Canned Fruits and Vegetables; Rice, Pasta and Dried Beans. NO GLASS!
