At the February 2017 AGM (annual general membership) meeting, SVHOA will be electing two Board members to each serve three year terms. Those terms will run from February 2017 to February 2020. If you are interested please e-mail to bod@southernvillage.org.
As a reminder, all of the street trees in SVHOA are owned by the Town of Chapel Hill. The Town is responsible for removing all dead or soon to be dead street trees. The Town policy is to cut those to the stump & leave them. For this reason SVHOA has hired Bartlett Tree Experts to remove stumps & plant new trees as the SVHOA budget allows. Once the funding is approved by the Board, the work is done each December & January.
