For street light repair there are two options. First is to call the Chapel Hill Engineering Division @ 968-2833. The person answering is Jeanette. Or, you can send an e-mail to engineering@townofchapelhill.org. When you call, give the location, preferably using a street name and house number, unless the light is on corner of two streets. The Chapel Hill group then makes contact with Duke Energy. The procedure is a Town employee marks the street lamp pole with a yellow ribbon and Duke Energy repairs the light. The procedure usually takes a two weeks or more.
